The island is not appearing

Allow JavaScript in a current browser and check your connection. The illustration and game files load from this website. If the page still does not load, try another browser. A refresh will reset an existing guest session.

The question is too tricky

Choose “Show a hint” for equal groups. Keep asking for help to see running totals and a worked example. You can also skip a question or pause the quest. No lives or earned rewards are lost for using a hint.

I cannot hear the question

Press “Read aloud / stop” after the quest starts. Check the device volume and browser support. Press it again to stop speech. No sound starts automatically, and every question can be read on screen.

I want less movement or colour

Open Play settings. Turn gentle animation off, choose the simple background and leave reward sound off. These choices last for this visit. Reduced-motion preferences on your device are also respected.

My visit disappeared

This first version does not have saved accounts. Refreshing, navigating away or closing the page ends guest progress. Pausing keeps the quest available only while this page remains open.

Typing an answer

Use whole numbers with up to three digits. The number keypad on a phone or a physical keyboard both work. Press Enter or choose “Check my answer”. Lantern Trail uses answer buttons instead.

The buttons seem too small

You can zoom the page using your browser’s zoom controls. The layout adapts to smaller screens. Keyboard users can use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between controls, then Enter or Space to activate a button.
